How To Do EFT

EFT Tapping Points & Basic Recipe

A. STOP and read this disclaimer before you read any further.
EFT is simple and easy to use. It is highly effective for a wide variety of problems, however it must still be considered to be in the experimental stage. To my knowledge there are no negative side effects, however this doesn't necessarily mean none will ever be discovered. Should you decide to use EFT YOU MUST TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS WHILE APPLYING THESE TECHNIQUES. If you continue reading this web site and decide to apply these techniques you are agreeing to take full responsibility for yourself and others when using EFT, and shall not hold Founder Gary Craig or Kay Christopher responsible for any adverse side effects or outcomes. Kay is not a licensed health professional and offers EFT as an ordained minister and personal performance coach. Please consult with qualified health professionals regarding your use of EFT.

If you agree to this disclaimer, you may continue.

B. See diagram and instructions below.

THE BASIC RECIPE (see also SHORTCUT below)

Tuning in to the problem you want to relieve will bring about the energy disruptions involved, which then can be balanced by applying the Basic Recipe.

1 . Determine the problem you want to work on

2 . Rate your intensity
Ask yourself what rating you would give the intensity of your anxiety or discomfort on this issue right now. On a scale of 0-10, 0 being none and 10 being the most, what number would you give it?

3. The Setup
Repeat the following affirmation aloud 3 times while continuously EITHER rubbing the “Sore Spot” OR tapping the "Karate Chop" point. Be specific where possible (for example,"this headache", "this anger at my brother", "this anxiety about being interviewed tomorrow". You can use the generic “this feeling” or “this problem” if you are having difficulty being specific.

“Even though I have this ___________
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”

4. The Sequence
Tap approximately 7 times on each of the following tapping points while repeating a Reminder Phrase. The best “Reminder Phrase” is usually the same as the fill-in-the-blank portion of the affirmation used in “3. The Setup”. (Examples: "Headache", "Anger at my brother", "My interview anxiety".)

1. EB: Beginning of eyebrow
2. SE: Side of eye
3. UE: Under eye
4. UN: Under nose
5. Ch: Chin
6. CB: Collarbone
7. UA: Under the Arm
8. BN: Below Nipple
9. TH: Thumb
10. IF: Index Finger
11. MF: Middle Finger
12. BF: Baby Finger
13. KC: Karate Chop
14. TH: Top of Head

5. The Gamut Procedure

Perform these 9 actions while tapping Gamut point (indention on top of hand between ring & little fingers and between fingers and wrist) continuously.
1. Eyes closed
2. Eyes open
3. Eyes hard down right (DR) – hold head steady
4. Eyes hard down left (DL) – hold head steady
5. Roll eyes in circle as though nose at center of a clock and you were trying to see all of the numbers in order
6. Same as #5 but reverse direction you roll your eyes
7. Hum 2 seconds of song (any phrase will do; Happy Birthday is commonly used)
8. Count rapidly from 1-5
9. Hum 2 seconds of song again

6. Repeat the Sequence

7. Rate the intensity level of your anxiety or discomfort again.
If you are not at 0 and you want to take the level to a lower number, repeat the procedure.
